the img has to be this size.....r u uncompressing (extracting) the img to a .img file from a rar file?
i think so, i am totally new to this, when i download the image it extracts it with winzip.Hope this makes sense,,wish i hadn,t bought this f**king box
Hi tophatter,
don't loose your temper with dbox beleive me you will enjoy it more when you know how.
MetMan was right for his advice, if the image in winrar format just extract it to where is easy for you to find ie: extract the image to my document then open your application (Image Flashing Assistant) and your IFA will ask you to browse for the image once you click on browse button go to my document in there you will see the image you extracted early on with an extention (.img) double click on it and carry on flashing your dbox.
Good luck M8 please if you have any more questions here is more people to help you.

Before you start flashing you dbox you need.
1) set up your local area connection if you don’t know how to do it please let us know and we will give a link to download instructions from Digital Kaos download section and you will be fine is simple and well explained.
2) You will need cross over and modem null (modem null is not necessary but it doese help) cables handy
3) You will need FTP client installed in your computer to transfer all needed files to your dbox
4) Download the fix to make your dbox working with all channels that you are after(you know what I mean)

You have to extract the image from the rar file then point ifa to it.
Flashing DBOx using virtualbox with Vista on a Mac
