      check the ipaddress u have set on the dbox is correct and has saved.....dbox-settings-network

      is ur lappy wirelessly connected to internet?

        yeah it was till the settings were changed in networkconnections.Settings are saved on dbox.

        I think ihave the wrong crossover cable,there are 2 different types.prrobably have to wait till tomorow now till i get to mapling for a cable that only has 2 wires changed not all 4 like my cable.
