commando 8.2

Hello just need a bit of info please i have managed to flash my dbox2 with the commando 8.2 image, can any one tell me if this is the best one to use please.
also this may sound stupid but i have done a full scan and found a load of channels can you tell me if all these channels will all be locked or should i be able to view them, remember i have used commando 8.2

download the real magic files from here Tools
Ftp them over to your box(remembering to change chmod to 755) then flip the channel to s*y sports 1 and leave it for a few minutes to auto-update,once it has done this(you will know when ) back up the image and copy it to your pc.

On that site fads has put a link to you will find more images for your dbox including commando 10c which i'm running just now and it's very good.

The virgin image from PaphosAL is good too.

There's also commando 10d out now if you look around which i'm going to try out today.

awrite mate, where can i find this Enigtrino image mate i was gonna flash my Dbox with the commando10 image later but may as well try out the Enigtrino it sounds a quality image, cheers mate

Well ~~~~ that for a lark! I've got better things to do with my life than to spend half an hour of my life sitting there editing my release notes so that they're readable on this gloomy funereal colour Skin, then wait for the upload, only to see the whole ~~~~ing lot blanked because I'd omitted to select the category box!!

FFS! I was in dbox2 Images when I began this futile exercise! AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH.....

Think i'll just stick with commando as this new image, although it does sound good, doesn't have CIFS and i need this to record stuff directly to my PC (i think)

I had thought about this AL but with what i had i worked out that there was no need for me to get a dvd/HDD recorder and saved a few ???s.

Just record from dbox2 to pc and stream from pc or laptop through 360 which are all hard wired to my wireless router. Only laptop is connected through wifi.

I can also watch other channels on my subbed box too.

Wee bit more complicated, not rocket science though, and setup still gets the job done without me having to splash out for a dvd/hdd recorder in the end

Just to add i'd probably be using another image, your virgin lite most likely if i had your setup m8.

What do you mean by "change chmod to 755"? Do you mean just rename the files before transfer?

I have finally managed to get 8.2 image onto my box after months of trying with a Vista laptop. Had to borrow an XP laptop to do it, and at last, I can FTP again! Now I just need to finish the job!!!

Do you guys think its worth getting 8.2 working first, or should I update to 10d before I play with the magic files?

EDIT: I copies over the Real Magic files and everything is tickety boo!!!!! YAY
