Dbox 2 screwed?

Hi,
I've had a Dbox2 for almost two years now. Used the image that came with it (an early commando) till last year, then changed to Blade trinity, then quad, late last year including all the fixes.
All was working okay till about a week ago when the channels began to freeze at intermittant intervals and the box does not respond to the remote any more. You'd reboot the box from the power connection, it'd come back up and again hang about 10-20 minutes later although sometimes it would be fine for a day or so. Now though it is hanging regular.
I have put on the new commando image and its hanging scanning transponders. the graphic is still moving but hanging on the scan of the fourth transponder, having already picked up a few channels.
I also tried a backup of my quad image yesterday but the channels were hanging.
I am leaning towards some internal hardware on the box being faulty. Would you agree with that guys?

i have had a couple of sticky boxes and i normally FPT the image to the tmp folder and do a update/backup but that did not cure the problem for me, the only way i could fix the box was to re-flash the image via IFA

I've tried reflashing various images via IFA about three times. None seem to be working for me.

Unplug from the mains take the lid off and give the MB a good clean with a fine brush
stay away from the psu as it holds a charge!! also try using a image with gb*x

press the red n then da blue button, n give us the ber snr readings. this is to checkur signal strength

my box is also screwed i have tryed just about every image ther is im in wigan lancs which runs of preston lancs for signal . the problem i have got is no audio at all i have tryed everything setting etc. has some one got an xml file i could try please nothing else works. i dont think that the box is tuning the audio pids in correctly.
the strange thing is that i can get some audio on a few channes when i stream to my lap top
