no but you will need to get all the stuff you need from the internet....ie....working image, keys, roms etc if not already done.

you will also need a live cable feed into your house for the dbox to work.

Do I need to connect via a serial cable as well! I have noticed that I cannot use DCC without connecting with the serial cable as well. Thanks

what exactly are you trying to achieve??

to flash an image use IFA and RJ-45 crossover cable...has to be a crossover unless your going through your router.

you dont need a serial null modem cable but i would advise to so you can see what is happening in the COM window.

to ftp files over like keys and roms use a fxp client like flashfxp and crossover cable if direct or again a stright through cable if going through a router and look at the following guide on how to use flasfxp
