ftp not working

hi peeps

my ftp aint working.
i was using cute and that ran out ...30 day thing
i downloaded others flash/coffecup/rush and when i try to ftp my cams, it wont let me do it,
iam able to put in key's etc but when it comes to cams it refuses.

how do i get round this little problem ?

it might have gone read only the image
if it has you will have to reflash.

is it likely to do that overnight ?

Are you trying to overwrite a cam that's already in the image and running? If so, you'll need to stop the cam, then overwrite it. Telnet is probably easiest for this:

killall -9 evocamd (for example).

but no . not re-instaling.
i have no cams in bin/emu and every time i try it wont let me.

any other ideas ?

cute was working great untill the 30 days kicked in.
i uninstalled it and reinstalled it thinking i could get another 30 days, but the blighters are too quick for that craic .
and just keeps saying my trial period is up and need to buy,,,,oh my heart is breaking just thinking of that

i gave umpteen free to use ftp's a go with still no joy
so i took your advice in getting good tools for the job...

i paid ( oh my wrist aches after that ) for cute ftp $50
and after that things went a treat.

so i can only be greatfull to you for the advice you gave me...

now my mind is at rest knowing all is well on the telly front.

now even better as i go my holiday tomorrow and the discount voucher i got on DK for my airport parking saved me a good few quid.
you can bet your bottom euro that i will raise a glass to you all when sipping my sangria in the rain...
