What is nagrarom3.bin ?

I searched google for Nagravision 3 and I have been trying to learn more about it and found this written on a website with other files

If Nagrarom7.bin is ( I think ) the decoder for Nagravision 7 what are these ?

Rom 3 is an older rom that telewest/ntl used to use years ago (I think). They fazed it out in favour of rom 7, 10, and 11 so its not used anymore. You may find it in some of the older dbox2 images.
