If you are backing up an image you want to do it without bootloader. Then you can flash that image using IFA to your box.

From what I remember from Installing Linux on my PS3 a Bootloader is an application that needs to be installed on your PC, Dbox2 or PS3 for an Image to be identified and installed. Something like that

Since you Dbox2 already has a bootloader you " Flash without Bootloader " but you only " Flash without bootloader " when backing up an image into the tmp folder or are installing a new image after FTP ing an image to the tmp folder

use IFA - Image Flashing Assistant

I make sure I always flash without bootloader when using ftp method, I'm sure a whole flash can mess the box up big time, thats what Ive heard!
