Error No Channel Found only Setanta?

Doing a box for a m8 and flashed the Laky Sylas Pro image that I have been using since before xmas. The reason I use this image is for it`s stabilty on very sticky Sagem boxes.
Done the usual flashed , loaded Services, Bouquets, Keys etc and all`s fine except the channels supplied by Setanta. All have Error No Channel Available. Will a simple rescan and reload of Bouquets?

    worth a go doing a re-scan

make sure it's connected to a straight feed in , no splitters or modems so u have the best chance of getting all the channels

Try It with fast scan off
Takes longer but may give better results .............Paul

This really is one nightmare of Dbox.

Yesterday I had the Virgin2.1 image on it. Loaded my bouquets and services and all Setanta Channels were working but, then reverted to Error No Channel found within about 3 minutes of viewing.
I think it may be a tuner fault as this is the reading I get when I have it on Setanta 1

        Ber SNR Sig Bitrate
        Max 262143 24220 0 0

        262143 18343 ? 0 0

        Min 100000 8312 0 0

The ? is due to the fact that SNR level fluctuates rapidly.

          Your SNR is too low....
SNR MUST be above 55,000, if it is less you will have freezing picture and jerky movement or even no picture at all. This reading is normally between 62,000 and 64,999 to receive all channels.

And you may still get EPG but no picture with low SNR

If you cant get it above 55.000 check your cable feed, 1. With another box if poss to make sure its not the tuner. 2. Take all splitters, modems off the line and plug the feed straight in to your box, then have a look at the readings again. 3. Buy a booster to boost the signal...

Thanx Gizmo. I think the tuner is definitly knackered on this box. Earlier today I loaded the Laky Pro image that I have on my own box.

Done a full scan with fast scan off, and got all channels etc Setanta ones. Loaded my services and bouquets and Bingo the channels were all back and all on. I was at home for another 30 minutes and the box was fine. Turned it off as I was going out. Turned it back on when I arrived home, again the Setanta channels are there but no signal. Sky Sports, Movies etc all fine.

If the tuner was faulty surely I wouldnt get Sports and Movies.

            Very weird fault.
I am on Sky Movies Family just now and watching it. These are the readings Ber 0 Snr 64228 Sig 0 Bitrate 5749.

Change to Sky Sports 2 and I get Ber 0 Snr 64149 Sig 0 Bitrate 5555 and I have the channel

Change to Setanta 2 and I get Ber 262143 Snr 23066 Sig 0 Bitrate 0
Thank god this is not my box.

I have only got 1 splitter on the feed and thats for my Virgin broadband and I have never had an issue with it before. If I plug my box back in all channels are fine.

I think I may just have it sorted. Loaded Commando 10 and fingers crossed I have all channels working.

Wierd though I have just put on Setanta 1 and the reading are Ber 21250 SNR 60141 SIG 0 Bitrate 5382. No Signal yet I am sitting watching it.

With the Bit Error Rate (BER) flying up and down like a whore's drawers, you have to suspect the female co-ax antenna socket on the back of the box, m8. Either it's a slack fit for the cable end male co-ax plug when this is pushed in, or it could be internal in the tuner.

Where the centre feed of the socket is soldered to the tuner's circuit board could be a dry joint.

                  Cheers- AL
