No Channels

Hi

My dbox has been working fine until today. I am not getting any channels. Does any one have same problem in manchester area?

I am running blade quad image version 4.00 date 2008-04-28 by Xenafan. I know there is a bug with the image, the scan does not work. I have to upload a new services.xml file if the frequency codes have changed.

I would appreciate if any one can tell me if a new blade quad image is out or send me a working services.xml file for manchester.

I have worked with Dboxes in the past and they can fall over now and again.

Try another image

This is what separates the dreamboxes from any other box in the market btw.

As above, Save your keys roms bouquets service files etc and transfer them into your new image. Theres plenty to choose from in the downloads section m8

I am in Stockport Area and all working fine here. Sorry can't send you a Services.xml as my network is being dodgy at the moment

If your not even getting free to air
Check your cable feed is connected
Try another box on the same feed
If thats the same
Ring 150 and listen to the recorded fault message

I had look last nite and found that the cable feed is faulty and not getting any channels!!!

As you suggested I had to ring 150 to sort out the problem.

Which is a classic example of the wisdom of having at least the basic subs with them- to guarantee QOS!!

I have sorted my cable feed and can receive channels from the original box. Once I connect the dbox, I cant get any channels!

I tried putting nagrarom11 from bigmaq and without any success.

What I did was put nagrarom 11 on /var/keys restarted emu and then reboot box. On some of the channels the screen comes up as frozen but without any picture.
Is the box faulty? or does it new image.

Please help or give me some ideas.

Do you not receive any channels at all like ITV/BBC?
You need to input the nagrarom 7 for your box to update the k#ys

It sounds like a signal problem, is your subb box still getting channels?
If yes then it looks like the tuner as gone to check this take all splitters off the main feed then try again.

I am getting channels on my sub box.

I don't get it what you mean by "taking the splitter off"

Please tell me what I need to do.

If you are getting channels on your subb box then try your box on that feed and vise verse.
What i mean by taking out the splitter is where the two wires connect together it looks like thisSplitter.jpeg
Then connect your box to the main feed that comes in from outside.

The other thing i noticed is that if i leave it on one channel, after a while the picture is shown but not clear its like frozen/broken/hazy etc. It also takes a while to change pic on screen. It may look like the box tuner is gone.

If thats the case, can i get it repaired or do I need to buy a new box. If I need a new box which would you recommend.

Try a booster on the line as it could be just a signal problem if that does not sort it then it could be the tuner but you can buy replacements which is an easy fix if you are good with an soldering iron.

Try your box on the main feed first as it could be just a faulty splitter or cable as your sub box still works if it is a faulty wire/splitter then vm will fix it for free.
