No Channels

I get it what you mean by the splitter. But the main feed cable is very short and it won't reach the dbox. I might need a connector to do it.

I tried the sub box and the picture comes as normal, however with dbox the pic freezes and looks like it is scrambled but changes after long pauses. This is from sports channel

So it looks like my dbox has some sort of a faulty.

Not really it could be just a signal problem it might just need a booster.
To rule out that the box is faulty take the feed out of the back off the subb box then plug into the dbox see if you get any channels.

If the cable from the wall socket is too short for you to be able to swap boxes easily, then may we politely enquire as to how exactly you are are piping the cable feed to the dbox, and where from?

My guess is maybe the spare F socket on the wall socket, alongside where the subbed box is being fed from? If so, that's an FM Radio supply, LOL!

Okay, I managed to take my box to a friends house who's cable feed is working fine. I connected my box and found to have the same problem.

I guess my box is faulty. Please advise if I am going to buy a new box, what make & model should I get.

You might need to try a booster which has been mentioned a few times in this thread but you seem to be ignoring this advice,
Press red then blue and post the ber,snr and sig info
also try flashing another image on

Sorry guys, I was not ignoring your advice. I have been enjoying the box for over 2 years and had no signal problem!!!

BTW, I did connect the feed to dbox and I can't even get FTA channels but works fine with sub box. Thats what puzzling me.

i have the same porblem all i am getting is fta both mine went down early hours of this morning and i live in mancheter i am baffled so i have tryed to scan a few times but still only fta

Have you restarted your emu? What emu are you running?
Transfer the k#ys to you box again to see if that sorts it.

The latest image that is out is Commando 10d you can get it from here>>>Digital Kaos - Downloads - Images

BUT make sure you flash the right one for your box as 1x or 2x.
Also this image as no emus or k#ys installed so you will have to in put them your self and do not forget to set your emus chmod attributes to 755 or it will not work.

The VIP guys, thanks for your help so far, however I am still puzzled and confused now!

Here's the info requested, obtained from cable check option
BER 10485750
SNR 4446 (fluctuating)
SIG 46260 (fluctuating) First this was showing "no signal" on LCD and then started showing "signal"

Let me explain what I have done so far,
1. Dbox was working fine and suddenly stopped getting any channels, not even FTA
2. Connect sub box and I get all the package channels working fine
3. Connect dbox on same feed and get no channels
4. I don't have a booster to try out.
5. Took to a friends house and tried on his cable feed, again no channels received. Friend lives in ashton-u-lyne and I am in manchester area.

This is driving me crazy, please help. Just want to know whether the dbox is ok or not. If its faulty I will get another box probably starview 4

snr should be over 55000 to recieve any chans like mentioned the booster would be a cheaper option than buying another box
