IFA is the only way to flash it in this state - and it works 100% of the time if done correctly. if it's not flashing you're doing something wrong. disable all anti virus programs, firewalls (3rd part AND windows ones) & spyware applications. Also, it works best with only 1 network device so completely disable ALL other network devices (wireless, bluetooth, etc) Power off the dbox at the wall, set up IFA, click start once it's waiting - then turn the box on - u may need to do this a few times. if it's still not working - check everything again

use the method stated above by manofscience

if that doesnt work, when you press start on IFA keep the up button on front of the box pressed in for a few seconds when you plug it in, this releases a memory test on the box and allows IFA more time to take over the boot control

If you have a router, plug your crossover cable into one of the ports of that instead of directly into your pc.

I couldn't get mine to flash until I used my router and now it flashes 100% of the time.

that will be because you lead is not a cross over but a standard rj45 ethenet cable, standard lead is the ONLY way you flash through a router and a crossover WITHOUT a router
