I have been given a dbox2 Sportster pro ( not quite sure what Sportster pro means ), anyhow it has been in the cupboard for over a year now, and was working A OK when it was last used. When I fired it up, all channels were listed, but only FTA channels worked, and after fiddling with the handset, like you do (or maybe not ) I lost those as well, after they started to freeze, so now all channels are blank when entered, with "ERROR" on the screen and below that it says, "waiting for time", and then the screen blanks out, even on FTA channels. I have read across the threads and the tut,s and am left wondering whether this is a case of,flash the box?, if so, what have network connections got to do with this process, as apposed to a single null modem serial connection flash ?, as is the case with my ex5100, and, why would I want to use a dbox2 anyway, when my own ex5100 appears to be so much simpler to deal with. If someone would be kind enough to educate me, I would really appreciate it
Why DBOX2

You would prob be better reflashing
If sportster pro has net id scanning ( I dont think it does)
Enter location via sportster menu
And rescan your area..
Failing that reflash a fixed image
And that D box will be up and running in a Flash (PUN)...PaulIf your Happy with the Help push the Thanx button

Thanks for that. I have found the info as regards what a dbox can do for me, flippin heck, the list is endless, a lovely toy I suppose, providing one can find the time to play with it all, ----------------"multimedia heaven" !---------------------
Still I might at least give the FLASH a BASH !
Thanks a lot for your helpComment
