    Sticking / Jumping Channels

I have a sagem 1x running commando 10 on v1rgin. It's been running fine for several months but for the last few weeks most of the channels have been sticking to the point where you can't watch anyting. I have tried swapping the ucodes but this has no affect at all. Also the SNR values for all channels is 63,000 so that appears to be in the correct range. I've ordered a signal booster just in case but can't see that this will help if the SNR values are already fairly decent?

    Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I think this is known as "sod's law" - I've just gone to check the values and the channels are fine - no jumping at all. I'll re-check later as this sometimes happens and then they all stick again. At the moment the values are as follows:

      BER: Min 0, Max 90
      SIG: Min 25957, Max 26214

Just had another look at the BER and it was up around 7200...

OK - Channels are sticking and jumping all over the place.

      SIG is as above.
BER is now: Max: 262143, Min: 4000

Just in case someone happens upon this post... I've now bought a signal booster but that makes things worse - when I connect it I get absolutely no channels at all.

Maybe it's the end of my dbox and I need to start with something else?

I thought I had sorted it earlier today. I removed all the connectors from the coax cable then put them back on as carefully as possible. The BER level dropped to 3 (it was 262,000) and the picture was perfect. I did a re-scan, got loads of channels (This was on a Commando 11 1x image) so was happy days.

2 hours later the BER shot back to 262,000 and the picture is jumping all over the place again.

Would this be an indicator of a dodgy box or should I try a new coax with ready-fitted connectors?

It could be possible your signal is too strong which may be causing the problems, maybe you can try connecting through a splitter and see what happens, just a thought!

I too am having the same problem with some of the movie channels (Sky Comedy, Action, Indie etc and the +1 channels e.g. E4+1, Discovery+1)

Does anyone know what could be causing the problem? i've tried fiddling with the cables, have flashed with SoOoOo MANY different images, played around with UCodes and emu's but still no joy - it's driving me insane!!
