help with n2 fix nokia dbox2

hi all. i flashed my nokia dbox2 with commando 11. i then put mgcamd file into var/bin/emu. i then put autoroll.key and softcam.key into var/keys. after rebooting box i selected area(dublin) and did fastscan. this didnt work so i tried bruteforce and still no joy. i also turned on mgcamd before doing scans. im just wondering would anybody have any suggestions as to what to try differently? thanks

Hi,

Did the scan pick up channels?
Did you chmod the mgcamd file to 755?
Was the box working ok prior to flashing commando 11?

thanks for reply. box didnt pick up any channels after scan. box wasnt working before flashing wit commando 11. what do you mean by chmod the mgcamd file to 755? i put this file in var/bin/emu.

Hi,
Dont worry about the chmod for now as until you can scan successfully this is irrelevant.
Have you tried any other images before commando and do you know the make and type of box i.e Sagem or Nokia and 1x or 2x?

oops you say it's a Nokia in your original post, just confirm 1x or 2x please

i had old version of sporster and this stopped working, thats why i updated to commando11. its nokia 2x box. i have set my area for fast scan and this didnt pick any channels up. do you recommend any other images? help is very much appreciated. thanks.

thanks for help lads. with both images the channels come up on info bar across bootom of screen but then it says 'error channel not available'. the dbox wont pick up the time even. this a sign it gone or anymore suggestions? i really do appreciate this.

Hi,

It does like like the box has a signal issue are you confident your signal feed is OK (does the virgin box work ok). If you are using a splitter take this out and attach the feed out of the wall straight to the dbox and see if this makes any impact.

hi all, i just had a similar issue with an older image (andromeda 2.0) was scanning channels ok then flashed it with the commando 11 and at first it wasnt scanning channels at all with area set for TW and fast scanning, tried a brute force scan and found 303 transponders and am no receiving all the FTA channels, only problem is now i aint gettin any of the premier channels like S*y sportz or mov-eez, have tried all of the ucodes but none are working, any ideas what ive done wrong or havent done yet to fix this ?

if i need the roll.key and other files and the chmodded emu id be greatful for your advice on fixing it

You do need the "Real magic" files, you can download them from here:Tools
The files are foldered to assist in transferring them to your dbox. There are hints in the rar files as to what needs chmod 755.
Once you have the transferred the files (+chmod) press the blue button and choose softcam menu, restart evocam and go to sky sports 1 and wait for channel to clear.
Any issues post back and the advice above assumes you are in the uk.

cheers m8, yeah im in scotland only recently got a d**x and to be truthful there a pain in the arse! just gettin to grips with it now after reading through some guides etc , same old story though i go the hard route first as always

Tommo i think your right it certainly does sound like a signal issue. it is a direct cable feed with no splitter or anything so its unusual. do you know any way of checking signal? if i do happen to get it going do i need those 'magic files' you posted above or should image you posted above work as is? im in dublin as you know. thanks Tommo
