    Commando 11 / Cams / Freezing

    Hi lads,

Installed Commando 11 x1. Cracking image. All works fine and looks good.

I'm getting the age old problem of chirping / freezing on my old Sagem x 1 box. I installed the evocam, which looks good but chirps/freezes a lot.

Now that I know how to install the cams properly - thanks to the help on the forum, could any of you kind gents point me towards where I could find alternatives to evocam ?

I think i was using gbox or something. I cant seem to find a good source of cams online.

Does anyone have a preference to what combination of cam & ucodes for a freezing dbox2 in the Cardiff area ?

As ever, any help would be gratefully received.

i'm in the same area m8 net id 00004, mgcamd is the easiest to try as this is is set up in c11, just transfer a copy across chmod to 755, reboot and select it, this still au's as well.

Gbox is the cam that normally helps iffy boxes, it doesn't au and i think u need to do a bit extra work if u want to add it to c11....but other images have it.....

    cheers

Can't seem to find any info about Gbox on Commando 11.

Hope I dont have to flash another image to the box. I've only just got it all working and wired up again. The missus will have a fit if I start pulling all the wires about the house again...

Is there a way of opening images on PC so that I can extract the cams ? Cant find Gbox or any others anywhere. Im hoping I can get them out of an old image somehow.

The thread for the Gbox patch is below (post 98 contains the patch files and instructions) and refers to commando 10, as Plasterer says you would need Paphosal or Renwich to confirm if this patch would work in commando 11.

Hi everyone. Just stumbled on this post and thought I would let you know that I have managed to get C11 up to SP2 working with Gbox and key copy

I am aiming to install C11.3 and modify to work with Gbox. Takes a bit of fiddling with miniops and shellexec.conf but should be up and running this week.

Will post back and let you know.

Jeez, Tommo- why didn't you just Link to that page, m8? I gave up hunting for it in the end...

Post #26 in the C11.3 Feedback thread might be of interest?

Tip: Do NOT use old patches in new images, or you'll screw things up big time!!

I modified the shellexec.conf and miniops files (the original files in C11.3) and another file supplied in the "enigtrino" support pack. These mods add a menu option for switching to Gbox (as in enigtrino) and no reboot is required. Will pm you with more info.
