" ist kein gultiger integerwert " message on ifa v3

Hello peeps

I need a genius to help me out here.

I am trying to flash my dbox2 with a sportster image using ifa v3downloaded from hallenberg website. I have disabled windows firewall and set ip add to 192.168.0.2. I have anivirus avg 8.5 which does not hav a firewall to disable. I am using windows xp operating system.

When i load the ifa v3 software i set up all the settings with a
2x image and appropriate network adapter. I am using a x-over ethernet cable only. Once i click on start i keep getting the same message "ist kein gultiger integerwert". I have flashed many images 6 months ago using same laptop, but now i am gettin this message. Speed & Duplex set to 10mb Half.

Can someone please tell me how i can get rid of this message and proceed with flashing a new image onto my dbox2?

have u got a working img on ur box, if so, y don't you use ftp to flash a new img....you will need to ftp files at some point.....only need to use ifa if u have a prob with ur box

i knw how to ftp files onto my box but i want to flash the new comando 11 image using ifa, i find it much easier usinf the program rather then ftp or using command centre.

You got any ideas y i am getting that mesage in german, i never use to get it often, now i get it all the time preventing me flashing that new image!

i knw how to use flash fxp to transfer services.xml and bouquets.xml file onto the box.

can i use flash fxp to transfer the new image and if so which folder does it go into.

ftp the commando img into the /tmp folder

use remote for menus

dbox/service/img upgrade or expert settings/ flash one partition/ flash without bootloader.....

easier, simple, quicker, it's the way to do it....

sorry to hassle u but can i use flash fxp to ftp the new commando image into tmp folder and will the new image file overwrite my sportster image file

put the new img into the /tmp/ folder using flashfxp then use remote for menus as above....

save ur important files first, service bouquets emus and kys

no probs give a shout if u get stuck....once u've dun it this way u will always (unless prob) do it this way....

sorry one last fing

lets say the new image i flash using this method of ftp works but it doesnt show me the ip address of the box once its flashed.

how am i then supose to get into the box using flash fxp and ftp method when i dnt hav the ip address.

this happened to me last time as wen u do quick connect on flash fxp u need the ip address of the box and sumtimes diff images hav diff passwords which i may not knw

after flashing - go into dbox-settings-network and alter these to the previous imgs settings.....remember to press red start/reset network now and u can test by green to see pings

what can u do if a box is bricked and doesnt load up at all.

u dnt knw the ip address of the box or the previous image ip add

u can only bring it bak to life using ifa not ftp rite

thats wen i will be in trouble cos i cant get rid of that german message on the ifa program

that's the time u need to use ifa....don't need ip addy as it assigns it's own....if u got a working img as stated above use ftp....

i've had a box 5 yrs flashed 100's of imgs used ifa a handfull of times
