    moved house, now no telly?

Hi, I have rcently moved house and had to get v*rgin in to put a new cable in. Anyway that's all done, broadband is up and running fine, but i can't get the dbxo to work, it won't pick up the free channels or anything, when you switch it on it doesnt even pick up the time off the feed.

I don't think i've broke it during the move, and i know there is nothing wrong with the splitter or cable as i have tried the one that goes into the modem. I have also tried flashing a fresh image but still not even the time shows up.

    any suggestions?

Have you moved to a different area? You might need to do a rescan on the correct frequency.

Worth trying a rescan as mjrrenegade suggests, for instance if I moved from Bradford to Leeds I would need to rescan as the Netid's are different and if I moved to Keighley I wouldn't (all these are in West Yorks). If you have one of the latest images they have the set my location option.

I've not moved far, and pretty sure I'm still in the same area. I've done two scans using different set my locations and still nothing.

Thing I don't get is the time doesn't appear, or does that come from having channels tuned in?

If what you are saying is the clock time on dbox is not staying right with the current time then either your connection is bad or tuner is goosed which is unlikely if it was ok before. have you tried trying a different ucode?? Personally i would check all cables and connections as this is the most likely cause

think i've sorted it! even though i only moved down the road i'm now in a different area. I've found a bunch of channels doing a brute force scan on a fresh image. Just in the process of reflashing the old image back on there so i can try the same thing. next step then is to find out what area im now in!
