jfish went into var/keys but there was no keylist.txt so where could it be

It wont generate a keylist.txt file if evocamd is not running do as tommo says in post 13.

so which cam did u select?

when u go into the softcam screen, select 'Evocam' THEN restart the CAM. it will only show in there IF you've copied it to the right location - plus you MUST be sure you've set the permissons (chmod) to 755.

there are two
mgcamd is of version n/a
evocamd is on version 2.17

reset the camd with those version as i've put them down and checked the chmod which is setto 755.

What have you got in var/keys have you got other files in there or none....re-FTP the magic files think you may not have the correct folder setup in keys etc

when opened the keys folder there was nothing in but in the var folder there was the?

autoupdate.key
camd_cfg
mg_cfg
nagraepr7.bin
nagraepr7.bin
nagraepr7.bin

so i've removed them from the var folder and put them in the keys folder have i done the right thing

yes the files should be in var/keys and not var!this is what the problem was it should be ok now unless there is another mix up with the folders that are meant to be transfered...micky

went through all the posts reflashed the box and finally got the box working, its only took me three days.

now for commando 11.3 might have this running for christmas.

thats good com11.3 is a very good image though i have it on my box, do it now while you know what your doing!

Hi,
Can you confirm you transferred the cam files Evo etc to var/bin/emu and then right clicked on the transferred files (dbox side) selected attributes and then in the popup box changed the value to 755?
The key files should be in var/keys, if the folders "keys" or "emu" do not exist you need to create them.

If you have flashed com 11.3, then have a read of the pdf that comes with it and you will be up and running in no time

Yes take a look at PDF info,but you don't need the add ons just same as before magic files,set location away you go.

Realise that mickydibble thats why I asked him to check in post 9 and again in 13.

don't like reading, but read the pdf and got com 11.3 up and running no problems
