newbie and i have read lot of post and flash image etc., but some channels missing!

hi guys

newbie here pls go easy. i have done couple of days of leg work on this site and learnt a lot including how to flash image using fxp, add magic files etc so big thank you to all who help on this site.

so far i have falshed commando 11, and transfered magic files. set my location on dbox2 to northampton and scanned channels with settings - bouqet - leave current, cable provider - cable uk, scan mode - uk brute force. i have got got some fta channels and some paid for channels. i am missing channels like bbc2, bbc new, sk* sports 1/2/3 etc...

this is the last stage i am stuck on and i have done lot of leg work to find answer on the site but no joy therefore i would be very grateful if you can advise and help.

Set bouquet as:create new VM style first,also check throughftp you have the files needed in keys ,also try fast scan instead of bruteforce

When you set the location did you see in the Scan menu an id.also where did you get the magic files from??mmmmm. I have had a few wines LOL probably a folder problem

Hi m8,
ftp into your dbox and delete the services.xml and bouquet.xml files in var/tuxbox/config/zapit(folders on dbox) Do not delete any other files in this folder.

Then reboot the dbox and go to the scan menu (do not set location) and use the following settings:
Scan for services tv/radio
Bouquets create new vm set
Cable provider cable uk
Scan mode brute force
auto scan off
then press the blue button to start scan.
Post back if still having issues.

i dont know if the way i removed the location would make any difference. basically i went to 'service scan' and deleted the networdk id and frequency manually. symbol rate was left at 6887. saved settings and rescanned.

anything else i can try?

save ur img, try a diff img to scan, if successfull save the services.xml file, reflash the com11 img u saved and transfer the services.xml file into the zapit folder

your solution worked a treat so a big thank you mate and also to others who have helped me here, its appreciated.

now that i have no boquets as all channels are in alphabetical order, my question is, is there a file for boquets that i can add to debox so that all channels can be arranged something similar to that of VM boquets??

also can 2 tv's be fed from 1 dbox i.e via 'tv out' and scart? i have main tv connected via scart and other one via tv out but latter does not receive the channels?
