Hi guys,

Its been three weeks since I first tried to get streaming to PC to work on my Dbox2.

I am using Sportster image (not sure whats the version of it but it seems old as the dbox y-web is 1.2 (2005). I am fairly new to dbox.

The D-BOX win server seems to record fine using Ggrab and UPD port 3000. So I know the connections are all fine and the laptop does get a feed from the Dbox (audio and video). I run the recording by pressing blue then red (Start / Stop)

Now, no other software will stream or record on the laptop or any other pc on the network. I can fully connect and control the dbox from the build in web interface (ip 192.168.1.10) wihtout any general issues.

I have tried to use many other software like dbox TV, tuxvision, and neutrinoTV but no joy. neutrinoTV seems to detect all channels but says the target machine is actively refuse it.

The question is: Why cant I stream when I can record on dbox winserver? Now note that winserver doesnt have any streaming facility.

I would really appreciate any help on this one. Thanks in advance!!

i haven't used steaming tv to dbox for a few years, using a dvb-c card now in pc, but just gave my set up a go and it still works fine: - it is

@dctyper: No firewalls. If it records fine it should stream ok? shouldn't it? I tried with LAN. Is there any port forwarding that I need to do?

I just installed the latest commando 11.3. Looks fab! well done who ever developed it.

Hi guys,

Just to update you.

I have flashed my dbox with commando 11.3 and it worked like a charm. It was a bit complicated at the start as the web stream worked without audio at the start.

However, the DBOX wont accept to flash any images now, even the commando 11.3!! Is that possible that the dbox would become responsive and wont accept any images? What should I do for the future?

anyway, everything is working fine at the moment and I really appreciate your help guys. Its great to know there are people like you willing to help for free!! haha

It tells you who developed it in the illustrated readme PDF doc that is packaged with C11.3! You did read this, didn't you?
