Hi new to all of this, i have just bought a dbox2 and downloaded the magic files and can anybody explain where i put them on the dbox2. Any help appreciated.

The k#ys file goes in var/keys.
The emu goes in var/bin/emu when transferred you need to chmod it so after you transferred right click on the emu then scroll down to attributes and left click on it then change it from 644 to 755 then save.

I have just spent the last 2 hours trying to connect to dbox2 using cuteFTP the ip address and port is right the username and password i used was root, commando. For some reason i cant get connected any thoughts.

what image was already on?that password etc will only work if that image is already on the box...boot it n tell me what happens

re-check ip`s ,also are your anti virus?firewall disabled if not they need to be.turn internet off,if nothing doing at all i would ceate restore point on pc,and just have ethernet plugged in to communicate witout conflicts....

see what ip settings are on your dbox m8 turn off dhcp and enter 192.168.1.1xx <-- last 2 depending on how many ips are in use by your network and stop/start your network in dbox and make sure ip is reachable

Have you chmod 755 the files you transferred ?

i'm not sure what stage i'm at now but i feel i've done everything right. loaded comm 11 image on to dbox. restarted the box, then transferred the real magic folders into there right place from the computer then powered down and hooked the box up to the tv, set location and scan channels. just free ones comin up. uploaded image add on's under blue selection and still nothin. can anyone help?

listen mate this thread is over 2 weeks old,pebbles must of got what they wanted n ~~~~ed off like many people do!!!!you need to start your own thread with your question in the relevent section ....eg....dbox 2
