Fibre Optic Dbox question

About to upgrade to 50mb Fibre Optic from my standard 20mb. Apparently the engineer is tweaking some settings in the box in the street and giving me a new modem.

Will there be a different cable and therefore will it mean the dbox will no longer work?

That's for the modem m8 as it works on a different docis so he will have to tweak it top get it to work. Your dbox will still work the same

how fast is 50mb

let us know how impressive the leap from 20mb to 50mb is mate?
I've recently moved from 10 to 20mb and tbh there isnt much of a difference.

Yes as long as you have a live feed.

yes i tried my dads on mine and i only have broadband and worked perfect

The "Fibre Optic" broadband is actually copper cable into the house, not Fibre at all.

Hugely impressive. Just opened up grabit and I'm snaffiling 12GB HD shizzle in less than half an hour. Very pleased.
