To be honest it looks like you've been had, you could try connecting the dbox with a null modem and a crossover lead to your pc and see if it will give a boot log.

i agree with tommo,try what he said,you may be able to use ifa,...so nothing comes on tv screen? check connections

have you tried flashing with IFA,im no expert but that does look like a distored "keine system" screen.

give it a try,ive put them wrong x image on a few times IFA does the job,i only use a cross over no null

ive given up lads im goin to resell it on ebay as spares repairs. im goin to get a dreambox 500c off dvb seller. wait till that gets ere n ave a bash at it . good luck to em tho if its half as complicated as this box .

If your lcd is like the one in the fleabay link then its not dead as you can see the debug screen use IFA with crossover and nullmodem cable as suggested earlier and post what you get.
if the lcd is just a faint backlight with no writing then its most probably shot.
