ok... reflashed it to a commander 10 image which i know worked on the old box.. transferred the magic files and still the same problem... fast scan finished in 9 seconds finding nothing. brute force ran for 30 minutes and found nothing... where am i going wrong?Comment

your scanning prob has nothing to do whether the magic files are added or not, it's either a signal issue, connectors, faulty cabling etc a hardware prob, weak tuner, faulty box, or your scan settings are wrong.....first try some other img and scan and worry about the magic files to get all channels working once u get a successfull scan......Comment

tried a few images same problem still. Used my mates box here and it works fine. Im convinced that the tuner is at fault. the MAX BER is 262143 and MAX SNR is 50324. SIG is 61816.. i know the SNR should be 55000.. would this indicate a problem with the tuner? im getting the bootlog tomorrow once i connect my old system up.Comment

Is your mates box the same as yours if it is make a copy of his and flash yours with that image ,.if that dontworkyour box could be @@@@@@otried a few images same problem still. its been a while chaps i finally have a system with RS232 yipee... i tried to get a bootlog using the instructions in the PTS1 helpfile under the hardware section. when i look at the bootlog it contains the exact same detail as the bootlog when the VM feed is not connected.. is this how it should be? or is something defintely wrong here?Comment

Hiya mate,
Dunno if you got this sorted but I read through the thread last night as i had the exact same problem.
I was sure my tuner was ~~~~ered as all the BER, SNR and SIG values were everything but what they should have been. Tbh, i'm sure the box is flaky as I've never had this problem with any others before.
I tried shedloads of images including Laky Pro, Petze, SS_Enigma, blade quad etc. - no joy.
My solution was to install Commando 11.3 via IFA and brute force scan. (the normal FTP then service -> upgrade -> flash one partition etc didn't work)

Have you solved this problem yet? Try changing ucode. Or better still, as mentioned earlier try copying your mates image and flashing on your box, if no channels work, it could indicate faulty tuner.Last edited by harpss1ngh; 15 December, 2009, 20:32.Comment
