Have you tried to scan for channels?

Waiting for time can be caused by using the wrong ucode for your area. Go to the blue button menu and try a different ucode, if its on 0014 try 001a or the other way around. Also make sure your cable connection is in right.

sometimes its due to a failing tuner but in the past i have had the same problem i reflashed with another image and all was well
