dbox lost channels

When I switched the box on this morning, there was no channels...i done a rescan and all channels came back but in an unsorted order. they were working until an hour or so ago. Now only fta. Isit my box or have VM done something nasty??


i'm fearing the worst....

just tried doing a scan now...and no transponders :-(

Check your signal rate on any channel by pressing red then blue, the snr should be 55000+ if below ou ma need a booster. My channels went off this morning got them back by doing rescan, they are changing transponders so you would get that problem.

ok. thanks mate. i reflashed and rescanned and all working again. having to redo the bouqets manually tho..

hi, have you no backup of bouquets?,also on scanning you must of left it on update existing bouquets....on com 11.3 there is a feature of vmstyle bouquets which is very nice worth thinking about seen as you already know how to fl$sh etc..

hi and thanks for that. I did have copy of Bouquets and when i transferred them across, it lost the channels again.....i thought that was a bit weird. I dont know too much about it so just had to create new bouqets manually.

I tried 11.3 but when i switch channels, alot of the time blank screen comes up and have to switch again to get the channel to appear. So I gave up and continued with v 10.

I might try 11.3 again seeing as there is another update for it.

Hi I have lost my channels not all!!! Now only got 12 regular chanels, rest channels just got blank screen with name of the channel and info what showing but no picture or sound!! Please could you advise me what I need to do to get them working again, I have tried to rescan and create new bouquet no difference blank screens with channel info only!

Sounds like you need the rom 7 fix / magic files. What image you on.? You need to FTP this to your box to the var/keys folder in your box

Rom 7 and 11 enabled i have checked but maybe old

You could start by selecting black as the default colour when posting. We can possibly read it then.

You will find the latest rom7 here. Just overwrite the one in the old image.

Your right its an old image but its one of the best and most stable images ever released,
by the great man himself
If you mean the rom7 fix to clear the channels
have a read of this it will get you talking to your box

then just extract and ftp the file posted by DW190 to var/k*ys overwriting the one in there then reboot the box and leave iton a blank channel for 5 mins .

You must remember when scanning for channels with that image that it has to be in 1.73 mode for scanning or you wont get any channels at all.

In Sportster, it was ALL bunged in to the image whether you wanted it or not. These days, we give you the image in gutted form, and let YOU choose which modules you want to Add (or Remove) via easy menus...

Mind you, the few minutes this takes means you might miss a vital bit of Corrie or Eastenders, I suppose...
