Ok not reported ,due to fear of a roasting ,for updating the old fasiond way.....LOL
After years of work with these boxes
Stuck with Xenafan images as they suited my needs
Still changed and went with every new Teamcommando image
But in the last 12 months ,missed the updates for 11.3
Just got around to doing it now.
    Struggled a bit
And found the easiest way for me was to unrar the updates
    and add them manualy
Once this was done the net updates followed suit
Not there was any .as the finished article is GREAT.Paul

FFS, Paul- how LONG did that little lot take you? As compared to less than 2 minutes all in, including the auto-reboot, using the tarball??

Didn't you spot my little hint in post #59 above, then?

One thing mate after transfering all files via ftp

LraiZer's new Memory & Processes item in System Info won't work correctly unless you replace /bin/busybox m8. I'm surprised you didn't get similar problems with some of the other binaries as well...

          Eazypeazy- here's how:

FTP the new busybox to /bin 'AS' busybox2
          chmod it to 755
          Telnet in-
          /var # cd /bin
          /bin # mv busybox2 busybox
          /bin # reboot
          /bin # connection lost

Job done! If you manage the above OK, it'll probably occur to you how easy it would have been to install the upgrade tarball, LOL!

          Cheers - AL

                best image no image ?

browsing through this site is confusing for a begginer- i have a dbox 2 for over a year and havnt been able to get it to run- on booting it up i managed to search for all the fta chanels- i read by tuning to a ppv it should deactivate in ten mins- that hasnt worked- is it because i need a new image- the unit i bought was pre-owned with all such images loaded.... is there a dummies guide? (its a bit like wearing a big L on ya back)

Yes m8, they are sagem and nokia specific so be sure to order the correct one.

I FTP'd the files from the Add ON's directory, automount.tar, hdd.tar, ext2.tar, xfs.tar, in fact all the files in the add ons. These were FTP'd to the tmp directory.

I could see the files when I did the commando menue, add add ons etc, added them and did a reboot, but could not see any HDD menu. I then went back to the Commando menu, to see if the files had been implemented, ie went to delete add on's, nothing there, as if nothing had been added.
