faulty dbox2 remote control

Hi hope somebody can help
i have just purchased a second hand dbox
ready flashed but the remote control that came had seen betterdays and is not working i have ordered a new one but incase its not the remote thats faulty is it posable to enter the service menu to scan for chanels without a remote control thanks in anticipation

type the box,s ip into your web browser you should be able to use the remote on the pc if the image has yweb installed.

mate try and open ur dbox remote up and put aftershave on a dry cloth and give it wipe ive done it a few times and usualy works cheers danny

might not work.....but at least your box will smell nice

Lol. Just take it apart and refresh the solder behind the infra red bulb, or use a bit of sandpaper etc....done this before a few times on different remotes...... AlsO I have answered this here in another older thread
