Installing Blade Quad DBOX2

I have had my dbox quite a while, running neutrino but quality has gone right downhill lately with key scrambles etc. I have never had to install a complete image b4 and i have been told the Blade Quad Xenafan is what i need? How easy is it to use a new image?

It's really quite simple. You need an ftp client like flashfxp which is in downloads section and theres a guide to set it up with it. Once you have that set up you just have to ftp the new image to the dbox, which we can guide you with but best to get flashfxp set up 1st.

I have setup the ftp, copied the .img file to the tmp directory and then used the remote to initiate the flash. all went well but iam having no luck scanning for channels. I have copied my old cables.xml into /var/tuxbox/config/ and am scanning using sym6952 as i am in a telewest area. Still no joy, the scan end after seconds so it must be something pretty fundamental that making it fail.... help?

Push the Blue button on remote
And use the set my location settings Mate
Scroll to your Area push ok
Box will reboot and will be good for scanning your Location.......Paul

I just finished doing that as i read your post! spot on, it has now found all the chanels although i can only view the fta ones, i have a camd directory so i think it should be updating but not sure. I have also lost my bouquet setups that i had on a previous setup, i have those files backed up on my lappy can i traansfer them to work with the new image?

ok, now i hvae all the channels listed, all in the correct boquets, the only remaining issue i have is that i can only watch fta chanels :-( i know its a no cams, no keys etc on this forum but can anyone justtell me exactly what to do based on a blade quad image? I still have my old files backed u so can i use something from there? Or is there something new that will auto update, since i am always having to update manually. thanks.

hi paul, im having the same problem. flashed a new sportster image onto my sagem x1. but im only getting the FTA channels. could you please tel me what to do next? thanks.

Most images now dont have working keys roms and emus. You need to ftp these to the right directory to get the premium channels m8
Use the search button and if your dtill not sure post hre again and someone will help you

Go to the links below, download and extract them. FTP you box and copy both folders into the var folder. If you are prompted to, just overwrite any existing. All your box needs is included and more besides.

ok copied the files over and restarted the box but same thing. im gettin FTA only. the EPG is coming up aswel.
Am i supposed to to another scan?

Ftp into the box and right click on evocamd and choose attribute/chmod and change the value to 755 click ok then reboot the box check fta then change to a blank channel and wait 5mins.

i have loaded blade image copied keys etc all loaded but be blowed if it will scan chanells stops after a couple seconds failed to find channles looked at the above post and i can find no where where you set your location any 1 help me please
