HI guys, been lurking a few weeks trying to sort my problems out, but finally given up and I need a hand.
I bought a Dbox 2 for the first time last month. Its a sagem Ix2, came with commmando 11.3 FTA. I've got it all setup, flashed it and put on the magic files, or ones as magic as I could find.
The problem is that the box is very temperamental (I think its a wimmins box). I can watch encrypted chans alright, they show with a key, but it cuts out after usually about 10 minutes.
It happens especially on encrypted chans, but often on the likes of BBC1 also. First I'll get audio skitters, then the image freezes while audio distortion worsens, before cutting out. When this happens the box has not crashed - sometimes I can change channel and avert disaster, but sometimes all channels go, even FTA.
This is a problem, as while I may have the movie channels, I only have them in 10 minute windows. A soft reboot of the Dbox rectifies the problem, but I'll surely get it 10 minutes later.
Is this part and parcel of owning a Dbox? Have I maybe set something up wrong? It has the appearance of an overheat, but I rather doubt that that's happening. Are there better keys, or am I just doing something wrong? I got the box as an early christmas present, kinda wasted money as it stands :O(
