I know how to flash Dbox2, but only getting a blank Led green screen

Hi, I acquired a DBox2 and am familiar with flashing images, but this one has me stumped!

I've got the IFA software and I am using a standard network cable to connect. However when I click OK, IFA just states waiting for box to reboot.

So obviously I reboot via the plug or try and use the arrows to reset. But still no joy.

I know there is power to the box and the screen is lit, but cannot get anything else from it. No logo, no graphics etc.

Also I have tried connecting to the TV, but don't get anything on the TV nor the LCD screen.

Any ideas please? Shall I try and use a nullmodem cable or is the box just had it!

    Thanks,
    Tony

Check the bootlog using a nullmodem cable but if the lcd has just a faint back light then the front cpu is usually faulty.

with dbox2 u need to have the network cable plugged in to your router then load the image in ifa and click flash then pull out the power lead and plug it back in and the lcd screen on ure dbox should say flashing unless the lcd is faulty (many of them are due to age of the boxes) wait about 15minutes then click on the ok button on the pc screen so the flashing window closes and unplug/ plugin ure dbox2 and it should boot , unless ure flashing it with the wrong image make sure u got the right image either 1x or 2x depending on how many intel chips its got

thanks for your replies, the LED is quite faint so could be a faulty CPU. I shall try your suggestions and update you on what happens.

Mr habibi, you keep posting all over the place. Stick to one thread so you know what your doing!!!
Right you have a standard cable, well standard cable works when you plug from the router to the box. If you have problems connecting buy a null cable, IFA works best with a null modem cable or try a different version of IFA (have a look in download section)
