Dbox 1 Help Flashing with Null Modem

Hi people,

I bought a dbox thinking it was a dbox 2 but now i realized that this doesnt have a ethernet port but only a null modem cable one. How do you flash these things so that it can auto roll keys etc? Whats the latest image and where can i get it from? Please can someone help me by answering those questions! I tried the hyperterminal but im just wondering how i would update the actual software? if thats possible.

Sorry to tell you but a dbox1 is pretty useless. It can be got to work with cards etc, but most say it is really not worth the bother, there is a lot of work involved. Some snakes on ebay try passing them off as dbox2 if you are not really careful in reading the info. I won such an auction but never paid him and reported him, the auction was borderline fraud.

Personally I would go with a clone dreambox as they are cheaper, or an itgate.
