    d box screws

    can anyone tell me what tool i need too open my d box. the screws i have not seen them before.

    they are security torx bits m8.

    i used to manage to ge mine open by using a small flat screwdriver, but security torx bits are the proper ones, cant remember the exact size in my head but you can buy sets of them from any good diy/tool shop

          They are actually quite hard to get. Standard torx will have 6 points, some of the screws on the dbox are this standard size, however some are 5 point, which is much harder to get.

          I got my set on ebay. Before that I hacksawed a regular screwdriver in the middle so it could be stuck and avoid the points.

              The "tamper proof" is just the little raised nipple bit in the middle. If getting torx sets always get these, as they will work with normal torx screws too.

              The big problem is still the 5/6 star issue.

              The ones in the back are standard 6 point normal torx. On the sides they are 5 star tamperproof.
