    SQUEAKY (MOUSE LIKE) CRASH !!

Hello, I just brought a refurbished dbox with the commando image however sometimes when I am watching for example a movie channel the picture will crash and stutter and make a squeaky mouse like noise, ill turn to BBC 1 which will be normal but then once I turn back to the movie channel it will still be squeaky !. I have no idea what to do and am really stuck with this. Has anyone got any solution to this? If so please help !!

    sounds like the tuner
maybe your not getting enough signal or too much of a signal.
first thing to do is check all your connections, make sure they are nice and firmly fixed.

if that dont work the try changing the u codes.

you can also try a signal booster, about ?10 from Argos.

make a note of which one you got on now, then try all the other combinations, make sure you re start after each time. see if that helps.

also have you tried direct connection from supplier feed ? i.e. no splitters ?

whats the snr on a squeaky channel? if below 55k, try a booster or try a diff img.....not trying to push mine as its not really my work as it's based on a dreambox diff and some com 11 scripts written by team commando but it works fine on my sagem and others.....LHC2 in the downloads

Have you tried a variable attenuator?

How many channels does this happen on?

If its only a couple more likely the signal is 2 high and needs to be reduced. This is what a variable attenuator does. Worked fine for me and many others with various boxes.

                    Few quid on ebay.

cgscott thanks for the tip, has this happened to your sagem boxes before and the mouse kicks in on all channels apart from the BBC ones ! did this solve your problem and should i stick with the commondo image. Its worth a try isnt it ? before i smash the box

Yes try it but if all channels are doing it it may be a tuner issue.

                        Maybe a booster will help.

Although it may help if you try another image or cam as suggested in previous posts.

Have a look in the dbox donwloads and decide but changing the cam may help.

As i said earlier flash a image on that has the auto swap evocamd to gbox key function in and your problem should go away.
