Just bought a Sagem Dbox2, Need first time hlep

Just bought a
SAGEM DBOX D-BOX 2 with Linux Neutrino for IE & UK cable television, in Debug Mode

I know nothing about these, Has anyone got a manual to give me a starting point. Aim is to get all or most of Virgin Cable channels.

Have a look in dbox2 downloads on here m8 in the guides section, should be all you need to get started then post back if you have a specific issue.

The file is probably in rar format, you can download winrar trail version from somewhere like download.com which will enable you to open it...

The dbox2 for dummies and beginners guide to dbox2 are both pdf files m8, you will need Adobe reader.

You might be right m8, I can't remember if windows can handle rar files (always used winzip).

I have read both the dummies guide and begineers guide and am still none the wiser, Its a wonder am able to turn a computer on .

The link above is what i purchased,
I have plugged in the dbox and done a scan but its does not find any channels. I live in Leicester on Virgin(old NTL) cable.
Do I need to reimage? Do I need the Dbox on a network?

Sorry about this but I am completely new to this technology, Any help and guidance will be gratefully received.

You will need to reflash a new image on your box, go to the download section at the top of the page and download a image,its up to you what image you prefer I have always run Laky, make sure the image has auto key update all the tutorials are there aswell, then you will need the magic keys I can PM you the link if you need it....

Whats wrong with the Neutrino image is that no use to me?

Should not need to flash it to find channels as it has sporster and the english cables.xml in according to the seller
in the scan menu scroll to cable provider and choose the provider for your area or bruteforce, turn fast scan off then red to save and blue to scan.
