first post, little advice

Hi Folks, this is my first post in the Dbox forum, i've had a digivox for a while and can flash and reboot etc, but a friend of mine is moving to an estate without cable access, so he is giving me his dbox, thing is its been down for 2 weeks and he didnt bother to get it fixed or whatever, as i know nothing about these boxes, im just looking to find out if there has been a new flash or anything in the last couple of weeks, im going to search to see about rescanning or rebooting it but would just like to make sure about the flash b4, im in north lanarkshire, thanks again folks

its deffo a dbox2? 2 scarts at the back.

if 3 scarts dbox1?

Hi me again, im just looking for the right tut to scan the box guys, dl 3 from the dl section but none have the scan for channels tut in them, not asking for much just point me in the right direction and im there cheers folks, if the scan doesnt work then i'll at least have eliminated 1 option

Flash your image, set location and do a scan. You need to ftp and chmod 755 the magic files to the right folders to get premium channels.
What are you stuck on m8 ?

i was hoping when i actually got the box i would just need to scan for channels and not flash, the guy said he had lost all channels a couple of weeks ago and i was just wanting to try and scan first to see if i could get them back, then if not i could maybe try my hand at flashing if required, so all i was really looking for at the moment was a tut on how to "scan only" as i said in my last post i've dl a few tuts from the download section but cant seem to find anything on how to just scan for channels, cheers m8

Press blue button and do the setmylocation feature then go to then scan menu change provider to the same as the symbol rate turn fast scan on then press red to save then blue to scan.
