Advice on best image to replace Sprotster 1.5

I currently have sportster v1.5 and recently lost all my channels, tried rescan and didnt work. Before when i did get the channels i never received sports and some movie channels.
I want to install new image and wanted recommendation on what to use. This is first time ill be flashing my dbox and installing new image so apologies for any dumb questions.

Doesn't really matter about box type. LHC2 / UltraPhat / Commando 12 / Virgin+ 3.0 - these are the very latest images on the block, and all are available in both 1x and 2x formats for Sagem / Nokia dBox2

I do have a old Dbox not Dbox 2 it came with the sportster image but recently lost all channels so hopefully will have some luck with Commando 12 or the other images mentioned.

I've got the commado 12 x2 image and flashed it and doing a brute force scan but doesnt seem to load no channels and has picked up 306 transponders but say 0 for frequency.
Do i need to ftp some files before doing the scan?

You need to update it to C12.1.2 for Brute Force scan to work properly. See the Commando 12 thread.

What area are you in? As the encription might have change so it does not matter what image you flash to your box you will only get FTA channels and none of the scrambled channels.

Also, you need to set your location first before a scan.

Hi,
Im in leicester and will try the fix AL mentioned see if any luck.
How would i set location before scan?
Forgot to mention before i tried the new virgin image before commando and picked up 200+ channels no picture and just channel error message, even after reboot.
However ill try the suggestions you guys have given and will let you know the outcome.

But surely if he has an "old Dbox and nt a Dbox2" it will be the old type "1" and are these not now obsolete....

mankesh is mistaken as he would not be able to flash any img on an original dbox, u would need to use a suitable Conditional Acess Module and FunCard flashed with a suitable image,

they will become obsolete soon though about the same time as the dbox2

Hi guys,
Sorry for confusion on type of box it just said Nokia DBox on the front.
However just wanted to thank you all for positive feedback and help.
I set the location and uploaded the update file like "ManofScience" and "PaphosAL" said and brute scan picked ever single channel up, then i added the magic files and finally went to sky sport 1 and reset epg and got all the channels. The Commando image is fantastic and everything is running smoothly.
