sagem dbox2 2chip ver finds transponders but no chans...

hi all been trawling posts looking for help on this problem and nothing seems to be working.

i had sportster image on m 2chip sagem dbox2. i havent used the box for a couple of years as i have a sat dbox with motorised dish...

i decided this would be nice to have in the bedroom as a replacement for the v box i have with basic channels on.

i flashed with commando 12 , the flash went on and loads/boots perfectly. i am trying to scan for channels but not having any luck.

i goto

service scan and select following options.

cable provider- cable uk
scan mode- uk brute force
start scan.

it starts to scan and finds 306 transponders but then after a few minutes comes back with no channels or anything?

i am based in liverpool. do i need to change anything. i cant work out what the problem is. i used to have this box running nicely on sportster 1.7 image i think but the image had become corrupt ie box wouldnt start so i flashed to what looked to be the latest image

any help greatly appreciated.

hi mate have you put the magic files in ?

Magic files have nothing to do with scanning
have you flash the revision update on that was released to fix the scanning with bruteforce problem
why have you not pressed the blue button and done the setmylocation and then do a fast scan instead.

hi thanks for the advice fellas. i have no magic files yet but thought i wouldnt need those nor could i test them without at least having some chans even fta.

i dont know if i have the updates on but the thread i downloaded the image on said something about having updates on it a most noobs couldnt sort it out but i also notice it saying image being bare of all keys and softcams etc.

what else do i need or would i be better off with a more pre-ready image ?

hi m8 just put a fully loaded image on like blade trinaty that will sort it out..

update

i have updated the image manually with tar.bz file as per instruction, chnged files required to chmod 755 with flashfxp also

i chose liverpool as cable area

goto scan...
i get 307 transponders and now frequency also which was not happening before the update. ie...

cable: CableUK
Transponders: .../307
Frequency: 55500000- goes up and down

provider:
channel:

i get nothing for provider or channel?

any ideas ???

Yes- you're not 100% certain of your Location. So forget Fast Scan, and toggle this to UK Brute Force, then Save, then Blue to Scan.

OK, it'll take half an hour. But at least you'll get all the channels. Don't forget to check that Create new VM-style Bouquetsis set, too.

Hi Guys,I flashed ultra phat onto my 1x sagem and no channels except FTA.also put in the"magic files".but still nothing only FTA.do i have to put in the updated nag 7 as well????or is that already in the magic files???

Have you chomodd the cam to 755
Then enabled it ..........Paul
