Please can any1 help with my Dbox2

Hi Peeps

Please can any1 help me to get my dbox 2 up and running..

I,ve managed to get and install commando 12 img,but nothing happening,start up the box and it tell me commando splash screen,but no epg......and then i went through the menu,s and my epg starts to load then stops...and nothing no screen or anything...

UPDATE.......

Managed to get it working,but only get freeview channels so could do with pointing in the right direction to get the encrypted 1,s

Thanks so much for the reply..

i used the image from the download section on this site and used image flash assistant for the flashing of the image , so would this of flashed the files over with it..

what are the magic files called how would i get them over to the dbox2...

Sorry about this as i,m a newbie on these boxes, i,m quite surprised i got this far on my own...but i,m used to the Starview boxes and menu,s...and i,ve read the tut on this and it doesn,t mention anything about magic file...

Hi all...

Grrrr spent the last couple of days reading tuts...done everything the tuts say including magic files...got all freeview 1s but no encrypted but getting good signal from epg...
This is really starting to get me down now....please close to having enough...wot am i doing wrongf....

Did you CHMOD755 the the files when you ftp'd them over, and leave it on a premium channel for a few minutes.Where are you based ? Have you checked your area hasn't gone over to the dark side yet ?

Just got the magic files from mirc and used the ft transfer program to tranfer em over....
Starview still going strong...so nag 3 hasn,t hit me yet....please any help would be appreaciated like i said i,m anewbie on these...and wot a palarva just to get these up and running.....

CHMOD right click on the file(s) and choose attributes in your ftp programme and change permissions to 755

Hi.....

No luck downloaded 2 Ftp programs cute and ipswitch....i find the files...right click and both don,t offer me the chance to change the attributes...even when i open up with asci...i feel this is the only thing thats keeping me from doing this...by the time i would of cracked this...nag 3 would of come and gone..
Getting really wound up now..but i must admit...this is a really bit learning curve and i wouldn,t of gotten this far if it wasn,t for all yours help....
If any1 can suggest a ftp program that will let me chmod these files....would be really grateful...as i want it done as its, taking up to much of my time..
