    Dbox stuck on a channel

Since having to do the last scan my Dbox will get stuck on a channel not responding to the remote control. I have to do a hard reset for it to work again but this only lasts for 15 to 20 mins.

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks!

    nokia or sagem?

    what image??

sounds like a hardware issue, probably heat related, usually Sagems. Some people remove the modem to increase airflow, make sure there's lots of space around the box and the grills aren't restricted. give it a hoover of dust, some peopel have fitted minio heat sinks too to air cooling. anyway, N3 is on the way, it only has a few useful months left ....

some areas still waiting on cards, completed by easter now seems a bit optomistic, completed by May? June? atthe latest, they're sending out cards thick and fast now...

          Its a Nokia.
Your probably correct about the air flow. I have a new TV stand also and the box sits quite tight in it above a surround sound amp.

Thanks for your quick and accurate response!

I'll try a rescan but I suspect it will be due to overheating.

              Thanks all.
