older D-box given ?

i currently have 2 starview boxs both still working mwaahaahaahahahaha
any way i was given an old dbox by nokia its definatley a cable box but i havent a clue with something from 2007 by that i mean they are fairly simle to do nowadays using usb (i have no rs232 just for the ck3 wich is fem to male) but it has ethernet i have looked threw the fw dl's but only see dbox2 and dreambox do they work or is it a lost cause ?

If so, bin it.

They can be done but you need a pirate card and you'll need to install a hardware CAM, certainly not worth doing as we are all on the verge of N3.

it could be a dbox2 actually there is no date on it visible and the words are in german but it looks just like the dbox2 pic in the downloads list remote and everything?
so i would need a card you say ? it doesnt have 1 with it

No card, and no hardware to be added - just some files

You might need to Debug it though if it hasn't been done already.

Watch the box booting up, when you turn the power on, does the small LCD screen display a shit load of technical data?

If it does then it is already in Debug mode - which makes things a lot easier.

However, as I mentioned before, we are all at the end of an era, we are all being switched oiver to Nagra3, the Dbox II will be more or less useless once it happens, is it really worth the effort?

no it aint its got the Dbox symbol on the left and a 3rd of it is plastic on the right

well iv changed its plug from the 2pin and when it turned on it had a load of junk numbers then said commando so i will be using either UltraPhat - Apocalypse-2x or Commando 12 (x2)

Commando is custom firmware mate, so it's already hacked.

Do a forum search for 'Magic Files' and add these to your DboxII via FTP.

Full tutorials are available on the site if you need them.

BTW, the first picture you posted is also a DboxII, it's a different , model made by Sagem.

The original Dbox is different and shit.
