Common noob mistake is to transfer an image to /tmp from the PC, then unplug the dbox from the mains and take it to another room where the telly is- then wonder why there's no image after power-up...

Contents of /tmp are lost when the dbox shuts down. The answer for a situation like this is either a 240v extension lead to maintain power to the box throughout, or a long x-over Ethernet lead, so that the box can stay by the telly.

In fact, try and route such an ethernet cable in permanently, to your router. Then your dbox can access the web, even if the PC is switched off!!

      Cheers- AL

Please do not try to upload any full images with all files. It is against the forum rules to have images which include keys and could result in a ban.

Make sure the user name and password are correct as flashfxp will not connect to your box if they are wrong also make sure you are using a crossover cable.........

            User Name : root
            Password : commando

FTP password for Commando 12 is anything you care to make it, so long as it's at least one character. Try it...
