    dbox2 problems

hi guys i need your help having lent my dbox2 to my ex while i fixed her sv2 ive now got it back with no channels in it. i have tried a scan and it picks the channels up but when the scan finishes instead of storeing them or asking if i want to store them it just goes to a screen saying "no channels were found, install xml bouquets ect" there is nothing wrong with my feed as my sv1 works fine. im using sportster 1.37 img. has anyone got any idea,s as im stumped! regards mdt

hi m8, as far as i know it doesnt have a brute force scan just a slow or fast scan, also its only been around the corner so the network is the same. why is it finding the channels and not storing them? i dont think you can set the area as it just has cable uk 6952/6887. the image is a sportster 1.37 from 2005 i think.

You will have to reflash with new image add magics etc. Com 12 maybe.your image maybe corrupt. Have you rebooted box/restarted services in menu? Slow scan would be bruteforce have you scanned on both cable providers? M

ive never needed to change the image as its worked well till now. when i got the box about 14 months ago it was broke so i repaired the cable input socket and exchanged the screen for a blue one and it was fine. can i re-flash the box with a null-modem lead only as i dont have a cross-over lan cable? i have a complete dbox image (lincsat beta x2 with nov fix) would this be ok?regards mdt

You dont use IFA to flash it you use hyperterminal there is a guide in the stickys.

                        Problem is not with image

although it would be worth updating.

I had same issue but it was just that I had to re-organise the channels, and freq's

Took some time but all up and running again.
