no I.P address / network on nokia dbox2

    please could somebody help me?
i am 100%, completely new to the world of dbox. a friend of mine recently gave me a nokia dbox2 (cable) after he bought a new one to recieve sattelite channels instead.
i have tried a scan with no success. in network settings, there is no I.P address and when asked to search, it replies "no network"
upon start up of the dbox it displays 'sportster.ump2002.net' & 'neutrino'.
i have got IFA and Commando 6 image file if this will help me to sort the problem.
i have been told i will need a null modem cable, but i am usin a laptop which does not have an RS232, i do however have the dbox linked to the laptop through an ethernet cable with firewall disabled.
please could someone help me through the process of setting up the dbox?
    many, many thanks.

        Usually Blue button\Blue button

        THE TRUTH
        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

It's usually in the Blue button menu somewhere. You want to set it to Glasgow NTL or Glasgow TW depending on what the provider was before Virgin Media took over. Allow it to reboot and then try another scan.
