The snr needs to be above 55000 to get any channels plus the ber needs to be a low as possible aswell
check the cable connections are good and put a direct feed to the box no splitters you could
also try the slx1p booster from argos ?9.99 if it dont work you can get a full refund.

Thanks fergal, ive gotten everything working before though which i do not understand. ive unplugged everything and re connected. So do you think this s1x1p booster will definatly do the trcik then?

its worked for me in the past mate with a dodgy tuner so its defo worth a try mate.

hello ive purchased one of them turners, on the left it says input, on the right it says output, it didnt come with any instructions as it came off ebay.

So do you put the Virgin cable into the input? which leaves the dbox with no ariel going into the back?

then do you plug a tv ariel into the output, then the other end into the back of the dbox
