dbox flashing & manual inputting codes problems

hi guys,

current image info : newmake-image, says Neutrino NG on screen.
im having a right carry on with this d box, 1st ive tried to flash it using a rs232 usb cable into my lap top, ive installed the cable driver, changed the ip address to 192.168.001.110 on the box, then i set up a connection changing the ip to 192.168.001.109, i tried to connect using core ftp lite & flash fxp and it will not connect keeps saying 'failed to establish connection'
i have been using
ip 192.168.001.110
user: root
Pass : dbox, dbox2, commando, ive tried them all... and still nothing.
can any on shed any light on this ????
Next i thought id try imputting the key off big maq manually see if that works? pressed the blue button and its saying 'the requested menu is currently dissabled'.... arrrggghhh
i would be so greatful for any help!!

If you are using flashfxp or any other ftp program you need to use a ethernet crossover cable not a rs232 usb cable.

hi i have done this and now getting this
Response: fzSftp started
Command: open "[email protected]" 22
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
on the ftp sofware, i had no response before, can i ask do i need a router? because i just use my sisters wireless (she lives over the road) thanks guys im getting there !

Have you set your pc network card to 10baseT_halfduplex as per the flashfxp guide in the downloads.
