    Flashing New Image

im soon going to flash my 1st ever image to my dbox. Ive been using sportster 1.73 for years and i lost contact with fella who did my dbox.

Could someone just check to see if am gona do it right??

Ive copyed the whole of my var/keys folder to my pc.
Then copy image i want to flash (blade) to var/tmp folder.

Got that far but cant find software update in the sportster 1.73 options to write the flash file.

Anybody know where this option is??

Once ive Writen the flash file via "software update" "expert functions" "write one partition" "Flash without boot loader" ( all these options i cant find!!)

Il then just copy my keys folder back into the var of the new image

    Have i missed anything out??

    Cheers,

    try
    1. Step
    Press "DBox"
    Choose "service" + Press "OK"
Choose "Software Update" + press "OK"
    Choose "Expert functions" + "OK"
Choose "read one partition" + "OK"
    Choose "flash without bootloader" +"OK"
Done. Now your box saves its own image (“reading flash”) to the folder "TMP"...

that's to save ur current img

just use write instead of read for new img after putting in tmp folder

u want to save ur bouquet and service file and maybe emu folder

"Software Update" ISNT in the service menu!! There an option called " Image Update/Backup/Restore"

Then if i go into that option theres no "Expert Functions" or other options needed to carry on doing what i need to do!!
