    8 Files Failed to upload

Hi all sorry for the daft question but I've just done my very 1st image save to my laptop and after it finished it said 8 files failed to upload but the image on my dbox2 is working without problem on my box, is this a common ocurrance or will it create problems if i change my image from SS ENIGMA V3 TO V4?

    Thanks in Advance
    Scotty.

You should have only had one file to transfer if you backed up properly.

have a look at the guide here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...269/#post58130

Have you backed up the complete img? i.e. save as .img file to temp folder on dbox then save to pc??

Yes mate as you say above I did save img file to temp folder on dbox then used flash fxp to save to pc.
I right clicked and transferred the full var file to documents and settings and this seemed to take a few minutes.Should I have just chosen one file from the var folder to save to the pc? Sorry for bing dummmmmmb still learning
PS i think i've just seen what i did wrong had a read at the guide and seen that i should have gone into the var file then tmp file and seen the file mtd3.img. Is this the only file which i should have transferred to my laptop?

make sure when backing up you select backup one partition without boot loader this is veryimportant as different boxes have different bootloaders even among the same make. the same when you are going to flash select flash without bootloader. Also if you have to flash using ifa it cant handle images with bootloaders the file size will be wrong.

use newtuxflash tool from downloads to open your saved backup in windows. You can then drag and drop all the files you need from your backup to your desktop. Your backup will have all the files currently on your dbox. The new image goes into temp then select flash or write one partition without bootloader in expert functions select temp and then the image to flash.
