dbox2 boots up but no picture or menu nothing

mate has a dbox sagem and has stopped sending signal to his tv e.g scart
no pic blank screen no menu nothing think lcd shows booting and channels tho any ideas?

But I fear the scarts sockets Have fried

Befor removeing any scart connections

Hello strangers
Im new to this site but it looks very interesting so ill be kept busy
anyway im looking for a bit of help in sagem dbox2 i done a fullscan and have 178 channels but none of them working and i have no idea where to start in updating software etc. and i have no manual. so any help i would be really greatful and hope to return the favour some time.

Cant you use the rgb cable for the meanwhile? The quality wont be as good but better than nothing.

try to reflash it mate

If the TV scart doesn't work after a reflash, try the VCR scart. You won't be able to adjust the volume using this scart as it's fixed but it will at least tell you if the TV scart is knackered.

Also, if it's connected to your pc/router, access the web interface and try to stream a channel. The pictures use a different route than normal scart so if this is working and scart is not, you know the scart id deeed!

And the dbox2 doesn't have a composite video output, only stereo phono output. The yellow connection is for controlling a VCR; a German function that we will never use.
